Former Super Eagles skipper Joseph Yobo has expressed his pain over Everton’s slim 1-0 loss to Manchester United in Sunday’s Premier League clash at Old Trafford.
The former Toffees defender bemoaned the team’s unfortunate loss, pointing out that Everton did deserve to pick a draw against the Red Devils given their late bombardment during the match.
Yobo stated that it was shameful to have lost out to Manchester United after Everton sterling display throughout the game. He however expressed regrets over the team’s inability to convert begging chances that came their way.
“Shame about the loss to Man United. We had chances. Could have got a point at least,” he tweeted.
Everton were unable to overshadow Manchester United’s tribute to Sir Bobby Charlton as Anthony Martial’s close range strike kept the Red Devils’ Champions League chase on track.
