Super Eagles midfielder Joel Obi has damaged his rectus femoris muscle and will play no part in Torino’s Serie Ahome clash against AC Milan at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday.
The 24-year-old injured a muscle in the quadriceps attached to the hip in training and is unlikely to feature for the Turin club this month.
Though serving his last match ban following his red card against Parlemo, the Nigerian international is reportedly to undergo some tests in order to accurately determine recovery time, a report on Torino’s official website has revealed.
“The instrumental tests made on Joel Obi showed a lesion I / II degree at the rectus femoris. The midfielder will have new tests in order to accurately determine recovery time,” the report states.
Obi has played two Serie A games since joining Torino from Inter Milan this summer.
