The management of Warri Wolves have paid three months of the seven months salary arrears owed the players, one of the players has confirmed to Completesportsnigeria.com.
The players had earlier in the week protested to the Delta State government over unpaid salaries and match bonuses and the government has heeded the call.
"We've received alerts for three months and they have promised to offset the remaining debts," one of the outfield players told Completesportsnigeria.com on Saturdah as they prepared for their Glo Premier League clash with Sunshine Stars.
"It's not enough but you the media should help us in our quest to collect our money. Other clubs too are owing their players which is not good for the game in the country."
Several Glo NPFL clubs are still owing their players salary arrears running into as much as 10 months.
