18 Eagles Now In Camp As Musa, Ighalo, Etebo, 3 Others Arrive; Ezenwa, Akpeyi Still Expected

By Adeboye Amosu:
The Super Eagles camp in Victoria, Mahé Island in Seychelles came alive on Tuesday afternoon following the arrival of six more players which brought the number of players at the team’s Savoy Hotel Resort and Spa to 18 ahead of Saturday’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

12 players ; Henry Onyekuru, Kenneth Omeruo, Francis Uzoho, Semi Ajayi, Samuel Kalu, Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Chidozie Awaziem, Kelechi Nwakali, Bryan Idowu, Simeon Nwankwo and Joel Obi arrived camp on Tuesday morning.

In the afternoon, Saudi Arabia -based Ahmed Musa, alongside Turkey –based Ogenyi Onazi, China -based Odion Ighalo, Germany –based Jamilu Collins and the England –based duo of Oghenekaro Etebo and Leon Balogun arrived camp and joined the team for lunch.

Goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa (from Nigeria) and Daniel Akpeyi (from South Africa) were being expected to arrive camp before dinner.

The development means the technical crew can concentrate on the training sessions ahead of Saturday’s game, without any worries over the forced withdrawals, due to injury, of Alex Iwobi, Olaoluwa Aina and William Ekong.

The Super Eagles will look to garner all three points against the Pirates on Saturday after losing their first game 2-0 at home to South Africa in June 2017.

Eagles should not underrate Seychelles team but if they do, the home team will disgrace the visitors team.

The only concern I’m having now is who will be our top 9? If the answer would be Ighalo, it means coach Rohr doesn’t know his job well.

This game is very important to Nigeria and we need a sharp shooter strikers who can finish every opportunity that comes our way.

With Ighalo in the front chai, I wish Mr. Rohr and his crew good luck. God bless us all. God bless Nigeria!!!

    • With Blessing Eleke called up it means the duo of Onyekuru amd Eleke have scored 6 goals in 7 matches. Although Onyekuru is likely to play winger (7).

Depending on how they train is go with a front five of (left to right – including attacking midfielder) Onyekuru (7), Oguh (10) *CM, Musa (9) Blessing (8) Kali (11)

Stop spreading fake report please @BigD. Blessing Eleke has scored just 1 goal in all competitions this season and the only goal came this past Saturday. So only you know where you are getting your own news from.

  • Ighalo I was amazed he was included.

  • Underestimating the Seychelles team will be the greatest ploy of our downfall. Anything less than victory is going to be a disaster for us. Any good luck to our team.

  • Anyway good luck to our team.

  • pls who is blessin eleke again nd where is he playin which league is he playin?

I just do not know what this coach love Ighalo, a turgid player. What is Ighalo doing in the team again? This is crazy. The coaching staffs & crew need to watch videos, last 6 Eagles games which Ighalo played. Then give reasons why they invited Ighalo. I know he played in England & may have been good so was Jay Jay Okocha & Kanu Nwankwo. Kanu Nwankwo as at present (2018) form will score goals that Ighalo missed in his last 6 to 8 games he played with Super Eagles. Why Ighalo?
