As part of preparations towards the Africa Youth Championship in Senegal, the Flying Eagles, will face Ghana’s U-20 team in two successive friendlies next week.
It had earlier been mooted that the two countries would host each other – with the coach Manu Garba’s side playing host to the first game in Abuja. but the plan was later abandoned.
According to supersport.com, both games between the two sides preparing for the 2015 AYC will be hosted by Ghana – the first on Monday, February 16, at the Accra Stadium and the second three days later to finish off the bi-friendly at the Tema astro-turf park.
The Flying Eagles are in group A alongside host Senegal, Congo and Cote d’Ivoire
Ghana will hope to overcome the likes of South Africa, Mali and Zambia to stand any chance of qualifying for this year’s FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand.
The competition kicks off on March 8-2015 with the Flying Eagles taking on Senegal in the opening game inside the Stade Léopold Sédar Senghor, Dakar.
