D’Tigress of Nigeria’s Coach Sam Vincent has told Completesportsnigeria.com that he is looking forward to a tough game against Senegal in their last preliminary round game of the ongoing 2017 FIBA Africa Women’s Championship, Afrobasket, in Bamako, Mali.
Nigeria and Senegal will clash today (Wednesday) as battles for both the title and World Cup tickets continue.
The American who has guided Nigeria to win all the four games the Nigerian team has played so far in the preliminary stage, says he is not scared of the Senegalese side despite their impressive performance since the commencement of the tournament.
“Senegal is one of the toughest teams we have in this tournament and from all the games played, they have not lost any just like Nigeria, but we have to be mentally and technically prepared for them,” Vincent tells Completesportsnigeria.com.
“We have other officials here who have told us much about Senegal basketball and we have seen all that in their games, so we will give them a good game. We just want to go onto the court to play and win.”
After Tuesday’s game against Guinea, Nigeria top Group B table with 8points , 376 score advantage and only conceded 221 points while Senegal are second with same 8 points, 344 score and so conceded 230 points after 4 games.
