The match, which will take place in Saint Petersburg, kicks off at 7.00pm
England and Croatia lock horns this coming Wednesday (11 July) in the second World Cup semi-final to see who will play the winner of Belgium and France in the grand final. The Three Lions recorded a comfortable 2-0 win over Sweden in their quarter-final tie, while Croatia needed extra time and penalties to get past host nation Russia.

Where can I make money in this tie?
England kept their first clean sheet of the tournament in their 2-0 win against Sweden last time out and Gareth Southgate’s side have looked increasingly strong the longer the World Cup has gone on. They come up against a Croatia side who have played over four hours of football in less than a week and could well be running on empty by the time this match comes around.
It is therefore England who come into this game as the favourites to progress to the final. Southgate’s men are at 2.37 to win the tie inside 90 minutes, while you can back Croatia to do just that at the higher price of 3.50, according to Oddsshark.
If you prefer to make a more straightforward bet solely on who will go through then you can do that as well. Again, England are at the shorter price of 1.61 to qualify regardless of method, and you can more than double your money by backing Croatia at 2.30.
England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has been in inspired form recently. He was excellent in his country’s penalty shoot-out win over Colombia in the round of 16 and also made several good stops as he kept a clean sheet against Sweden.
And if you think Pickford will put in another fine showing then you can back England to win to nil (without Croatia scoring a goal) at a price of 3.40. You can also back England to win both halves at a price of 9.00, offering close to a ten-fold return on any initial investment.
Croatia started the World Cup very strongly. There were convincing victories, 2-0 over Nigeria and 3-0 over Argentina, which set them in good stead for progress from the group stages to the knock-out phases.
Since then, however, they have flattered to deceive. They needed penalties to get past Denmark as well as Russia, and that may well be their best bet in this tie as well.
Croatia are priced at 13.00 to win this game after extra time, but that price drops to 10.00 for them to win via penalties. England are also at 10.00 to win from spot kicks and are also at 10.00 should they win if the tie goes for the extra half an hour.
England’s biggest concern will of course be trying to keep Luka Modric quiet. The creative player will look to provide the supply line to forward Mario Mandzukic in the centre forward role.
Manduzkic is at 3.75 to score during the game and at 8.00 to break the deadlock but the real favourite to find the back of the net is England’s Harry Kane. The Tottenham striker is at just 2.25 to net at any time during the match, and at 4.33 to score either the first or last goal of the contest – with six goals to his name already, the 24 year old is also the favourite to win this year’s Golden Boot, at a price of just 1.14.
On paper, there looks to be very little between these teams and it could well go down to the wire. Predicting the exact score of a game is always a tough ask, but you can back a 1-0 win for England in this tie at a price of 6.50, while a 1-0 win for Croatia would come in at 9.00.
As there is little to choose between the two sides, there may be fewer goals in this one. Given the fact this is a World Cup semi-final between two cautious sides, this is unlikely to be a thriller for the ages.
Under 2.5 goals in the game is priced at just 1.50, while your can more than double your money by backing more than 2.5 goals, at a price of 2.50. You could also double any investment by backing both teams to score at 2.05.
