3SC are banking on the expertise of their newly appointed coach, Gbenga Ogunbote, to help maintain their top flight status.
The Ibadan-based outfit are languishing in the bottom half of the log after 10 rounds of matches in the Glo Premier League.
Ogunbote who led Sunshine Stars of Akure to the semi-finals of both CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup in the past was appointed as the replacement for the sacked ex-handler of the side, Franklyn Howard, on Wednesday.
Officials of the club are upbeat that that new helmsman with his experience can help turn the fortunes of the team around.
General Manager of the Oluyole Warlords, Rasheed Balogun, told completesportsnigeria.com that the club settled for Ogunbote because of his coaching ability and wealth of experience.
”Without doubt Gbenga Ogunbote is one of the most experienced coaches in the country today,” Balogun said. ”I worked with him during my time as General Manager of Sunshine Stars and i can attest to the fact he is one of the super coaches on the domestic scene today.
”In terms of experience and quality he has it and we believe strongly that he can help move the club forward.
”Our objective is to improve on our performance when the league restart and stay up at the end of the season, with him we believe that is achievable.”
