3SC Win As Rangers Fall To Giwa

By Adeboye Amosu:

Ten-man Shooting Stars Sports Club, 3SC, ended their two match losing streak following  a hard earned  2-1 win against Nasarawa United in a rescheduled week 24 tie on Wednesday at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.
The Oluyole Warlords went into the game desperate to banish  memories of their  back-to-back  defeats to Kano Pillars and Kwara United.
Tayo Fabiyi provided the needed boost by grabbing the curtain raiser in the 16th minute of the game.
3SC were reduced to ten men following the dismissal of James Moses for a bad tackle by the centre referee in the 36th minute.
On resumption of the second half, the Gbenga Ogunote-led side piled up  pressure on the visitors, with Sunday Adetunji  getting the much needed second goal.
Nasarawa United, who ended champions Kano Pillars’ unbeaten home streak last weekend, got one back through Thomas Zenke on the hour mark.
The Solid Miners were however unable to get the equalizing goal, allowing the hosts to secure maximum points.
In Jos, Giwa FC needed an 87th  minute strike by David Edoh to secure a 1-0 win against Rangers.
IfeanyiUbah FC beat Akwa United in Umuahia, with Meschack Chukwubuikem and Okereke Maduabuchi getting the goals.
Sharks failed to build on their impressive road trip win against Bayelsa United last weekend as they were held to a goaless draw at home  by visiting Lobi Stars of Makurdi
