Completesportsnigeria.com's ADEBOYE AMOSU highlights the four major talkingpoints of the match-day two of the Nigeria Professional Football League Super-4 competition
1. RANGERS STRUGGLE WITHOUT TALISMANIC EGBUCHULAM
A second string Enugu Rangers side put up a better showing compared to their first game against Rivers United, but without their talismanic forward, Chisom Egbuchulam who is on the verge of securing a move to Tunisian side, Etoile du Sahel,
Rangers were going to struggle to get the goals.
The duo of Bright Silas and Chiamaka Madu were the worst culprits as they missed clear cut chances in the game.
2. RIVERS UNITED PRODUCE BEST PERFORMACE OF DAY TWO
Stanley Eguma's Rivers United were the standout performer on match-day two as they thrilled the fans to an exciting brand of attacking football despite playing with a man short for most part of second half following Ayobami Asekunowo's dismissal after a bad tackle on Wikki's Seka Pascal.
The Pride of Rivers despite losing their first game to Enugu Rangers have played the best football in this competition so far.
3. FC IFEANYIUBAH'S STRUGGLE CONTINUES
FC IfeanyiUbah raised more questions on their readiness to compete well this season by putting up another shoddy display in their 2-0 defeat to Rivers United.
The fact that they enjoyed a numerical advantage for most part of the second half and were still outshone by their opponent makes the defeat more painful.
4. WIKKI DANGEROUS TRIO STOPPED BY RANGERS
Wikki Tourists trio; Shamah Tanze, Idris Sabo and Bature Yaro who put up a solid display in their opening fixture against FC IfeanyiUbah couldn't replicate the performance on match-day 2 as they were marked out of the game by Rangers defenders.
Only Shanze showed flashes of brilliance in the game, while the other two never really got going.
