Six- time Glo League Champions, Enyimba Football Club of Aba are unbeaten in their previous 10 games. They however face a tough task in their bid to extend that impressive run when they confront Giwa FC at the Rwang Pam Stadium, Jos on today (Sunday).
The hosts have avoided defeat in their last four games. They last tasted defeat in a match day-23 game against Sunshine Stars, which ended 4-0 in favour of the Owena Waves.
2. Clash Of Former Stars In Akure
The South-West derby between Shooting Stars and Sunshine Stars at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan will see a number of players who have featured for both sides in the past clash.
For the home side, the likes of Ajani Ibrahim, Cletus Itodo, Alaba Omokuri Osawe and goalkeeper Danladi Isah, who recently left Sunshine Stars to pitch tent with 3SC, will face their former Glo League clubs.
Sunshine Stars also have in their ranks, three players who have featured for their opponents in the past. They are experienced left back, Mutiu Adegoke, Kingsley Eduwo and Okiki Afolabi.
On the bench, 3SC handler, Gbenga Ogunbote, who has also worked with Sunshine in the past, will plot the fall of his former side.
3. Abia Warriors Looking To Sustain Impressive Disciplinary Record.
The Oriental side have the enviable record as the only side yet to pick a red card in the Glo League this season.
They will hope to maintain that impressive feat when they tackle Kwara United at the Ilorin Township Stadium today.
4. Can Rangers Build On Wikki Win Against Heartland?
Rangers have managed just two wins from their last 10 games in all competitions.
The Flying Antelopes have struggled to impress since their controversial ouster from the Federation Cup at the hands of Lobi Stars.
But they seems back to their best, with a commanding display in the 2-0 win against Wikki Tourists in the midweek.
The big question is 'can they build on that win and beat Heartland in the Oriental derby in Owerri'?
5. Will 3SC, Ifeanyi Ubah Similar Statistics Continue?
Aside from the battle for the title and fight to avoid the drop, amongst the teams, Ifeanyi Ubah and 3SC seems to be having their own fight in the middle of the table.
Both teams, aside from playing the same number of games (29), have won the same number of games (11), played five draws and lost 11 games each.
They also shared the same number of points (38), scored 28 goals each and conceded the same number (28).
It will be interesting to see if they will still maintain the same statistics at the end of proceedings on Sunday.
