Nigeria striker, Gbolahan Salami, scored KuPS’ only goal in their 2-1 away loss to RoPS in the Finnish top flight on Friday night.
Salami scored in the 25th minute to give KuPS the lead.
But goals from Albert Prosa (30 minutes) and Jarkko Lahdenmaeki (42 minutes) gave RoPS the win.
The goal was Salami’s 12th in 29 appearances for KuPS.
Also in action for KuPS were Azubuike Egwuekwe and Paul Onobi.
Still in Finland, Taye Taiwo and Nnamdi Oduamadi played in HJK’s 1-1 home draw against IFK Mariehamn.
Both played the full 90 minutes of the game.
Alfredo Morelos put HJK 1-0 up before Aleksei Kangaskolk equalized for Mariehamn.
In the Russian league, Nigerian duo of Sylvester Igboun and Kehinde Fatai featured for UFA who lost 1-0 to CSKA Moscow.
The only goal was scored by Vasili Berezutski in the 18th minute.
While Fatai played for 90 minutes, Igboun was replaced by Islamnur Abdulavov on 80 minutes.
In Norway, Samuel Adegbenro made an appearance for Viking who held Stroemsgodset 1-1.
Adegbenro was later replaced by Michael Hankaas in the 46th minute.
