Nigeria forward Gbolahan Salami was on target for KuPS in their 2-0 away win against HIFK in the Finnish top division on Monday night.
Salami scored in the 15th minute to put his side 1-0 up.
KuPS’ other goal was scored by Petteri Pennanen with seven minutes remaining in the game.
It was Salami’s 13th league goal in 30 appearances for KuPS.
Also in action for KuPS were Nigerian duo of Azubuike Egwuekwe and Paul Onobi.
Still in the Finnish top division, Nnamdi Oduamadi got on the score sheet as HJK beat Ilves 3-1 away from home.
Oduamadi scored HJK’s second goal in the 83rd minute.
He has now scored seven goals in 27 league appearances.
Former Super Eagles defender, Taye Taiwo, was also in action for HJK.
In the Italian Serie A, Joel Obi, featured in Torino’s 4-1 away win against Palermo.
Obi was introduced in the 66th minute for Daniele Baselli.
And in the Turkish Super League, Super Eagles defender Godfrey Oboabona played for 90 minutes as his team, Rizespor, held home side Antalyaspor to a 1-1 draw.
Oboabona was however yellow-carded in the 53rd minute.
