Enugu Rangers striker Bobby Clement says the club is looking to make a big statement by winning the Nigeria Professional Football League Super Four competition, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The competition will start on December 7 and end on December 11. All the matches will be played at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium.
The NPFL champions will battle Rivers United, Wikki Tourists and FC IfeanyiUbah for the title.
The Flying Antelopes fought off strong challenge from the trio to end their 32-year wait for a league title by coming out tops last season.
Former Heartland Football Club of Owerri player Clement believes doing well in this competition will give Rangers confidence going into the new season.
“The Super Four is a big competition and it will be great to win it,” Clement told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“It is an opportunity for us to prove that our performance in the league last season was no fluke and to also make a big statement on our ambition next season.
“It’s not going to be tough considering the pedigree of the other teams that will compete in the competition but we will give our best to make our fans happy.”
