Enugu Rangers striker, Chisom Egbuchulam has expressed delight at his match-winning performance against Rivers United on Wednesday at the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Super-4 tournament. Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Egbuchulam's second half brace nailed Rivers United at the Catedral – Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu, to move top of the four team table iwith a superior goal difference over Wikki Tourists who also defeated FC IfeanyiUbah on the opening day.
The Super Eagles invitee however added that Rivers United will represent Nigeria well in next season's CAF Champions League.
“It was a great game and we got a deserved three points. It wasn’t an easy game but we thank God for the victory and I am also pleased with the goals I scored,” Egbuchulam said in his pre-match interview in Enugu.
“They are a good side. They played very well in the first half, but were unable to score.
“They can give Nigeria good representation on the continent. There are a lot of changes in the present Rivers United team. They have a lot of new players who are very good as well.
“This is a much better Rivers United team."
