Nigerian forward Sone Aluko was on target as second-tier Fulham shocked Premier League side Hull City 4-1 in their FA Cup fpurth rpund clash at Ctaven Cottage on Sunday.
Ryan Sessegnon, Stefan Johansen and Chris Martin scored Fulham’s other goals, while new signing Evandro bagged for Hull.
Aluko opened the scoring against his former club in the 17th minute, slotting into the net following a knockdown by Thomas Kalas from a free-kick.
In the 32nd minute, Aluko almost doubled Fulham’s lead on 37 minute after bursting towards Hull’s defensive third but shot narrowly wide.
Hull pulled a goal back in the 49th minute through Evandro whose diving header from a cross went past Fulham’s keeper.
Martin put Fulham 2-1 ahead on 54 minutes, finishing off a squared pass from Ryan Sessegnon who was slipped through by Aluko.
In the 66th minute Sessegnon got on the score sheet to make it 3-1 in favour of Fulham following a superb assist from Martins.
Fulham put the game beyond doubt as Stefan Johansen extended his team’s lead to 4-1 in the 78th minute firing in from close range.
And with four minutes left Fulham won a penalty after Kalas was brought down but Marcus Bettinelli stopped the resultant spot kick.
