Rangers international of Enugu manager Imama Amakapabo believes there is still more work to be done despite advancing to the first round of the CAF Champions League, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Coal City side qualified for the next round of the competition on the away goals rule after aggregate scores were level at 1-1 against Jeunesse Sportive de Saoura of Algeria.
“We have qualified for the next round of the Champions League. But we must work harder in all ramifications,” Imama was quoted in a tweet from the official handle of Rangers International on Monday.
Rangers will next face Egyptian giants Zamalek who were last year’s finalists in the first round of the CAF Champions League competition.
Amakapabo who guided the reigning Nigerian Professional Football League champions to their first ever title in 32 years also urged his players to focus more on the NPFL.
“We need to now concentrate on our rescheduled matches in the League starting with Lobi Stars on Wednesday,” he added.
Rangers are placed bottom in the NPFL log with just six points from six games though with three outstanding games to be played.
