Barcelona pulled the greatest comeback in UEFA Champions history after defeating Paris Saint-Germain 6-1 in the second leg round 16 of the UEFA Champions League at the Nou Camp on Wednesday night.
A brace from Neymar, a goal each from Lionel Messi (penalty), Luis Suarez, Sergio Roberto and an own goal by Layvin Kurzawa complete the greatest comeback in European club football and a place in the quarter-finals.
No team had ever turned around a 4-0 deficit before in Champions League history.
PSG’s only goal was scored by Edinson Cavani in the 62nd minute to make it 3-1.
This is the third time Barcelona will eliminate PSG at the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League (2012/2013 and 2014/2015).
The last time PSG knocked Barcelona out of Europe’s elite competition was in the quarterfinal in the 1994/1995 season.
In the other round 16 tie, Borussia Dortmund thrashed Benfica 4-0 to go through 4-1 on aggregate.
A hat-trick from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and a goal from Christian Pulisic secured Dortmund’s place in to the quarter-finals.
