Completesportsnigeria.com's ADEBOYE AMOSU presents a seven player shortlist of the remarkable players expected to be key men at the Nigeria Professional Football League Super-Four competition in Enugu which holds from Wednesday, December 7 to Sunday, December 11, 2016 at "The Catederal" Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Enugu.
1. CHISOM EGBUCHULAM (ENUGU RANGERS)
All eyes will be on the talented forward to replicate his impressive performance for the Flying Antelopes last season in the NPFL.
A member of the dreaded CANE (Godwin Aguda, Obinna Nwobodo, and Bobby Clement) that tormented opposition defenders in the league last season, the forward scored 16 goals and provided nine assists as the Coal City side broke their 32-year title drought.
Egbuchulam will be keen to make a big impression once again to prove that his performance last season was no fluke.
2. BERNARD OVOKE (RIVERS UNITED)
Petite forward,Bernard Ovoke linked up with Rivers United from Bayelsa United at the start of last season where he made a big impression despite the club failing to maintain their top flight status.
The magic man as Ovoke is called by his admirers netted nine times to help the Pride of Rivers finished in second position in the table.
He will be the main man for the Pride of Rivers'.
3. NANA BONSU (ENUGU RANGERS)
The former Ghanaian junior international was third choice at Enugu Rangers behind Emmanuel Daniel and Itodo Akor at the start of the season after arriving from Ghana Premier League side, Ashanti Gold.
Daniel's involvement with the Nigeria U-23 side and Akor's indifferent form afforded him the chance to stake claim for a regular shirt and he has never look back since then.
He is considered among the top three goalkeepers in the league alongside the duo of Enyimba's Theophilus Afelokhai and Emeka Nwabulu.
4. OLALEKAN ADELEYE (FC IFEANYIUBAH)
The younger brother of former Super Eagles defender, Dele Adeleye was a consistent performer for the Anambra Warriors last season.
Much will be expected from him again in the Super Four as the Federation Cup winners bid to make a big statement ahead of the new campaign.
5. EMEKA NWABULU (WIKKI TOURISTS)
Emeka Nwabulu is ranked among the top best goalkeepers in the Nigeria Professional Football League. The shot stopper proved his class in a Wikki side that came third last season.
He will look to put in a superb showing in this competition to cement his place among the best in his position in the league.
6. GUY KUEMIAN VENANCE (RIVERS UNITED)
The Ivorian born striker caught the eye of Rivers United officials during a CAF Champions League clash in 2015 wheere he starred for Equatorial Guinean side, Leones Vegetarianos.
After initially struggling to break into the first team squad due to language barrier and home sickness, Kuemian adapted well later to become a key member of the side.
7. SEKA PASCAL (FC IFEANYIUBAH)
Ivorian striker Seka Pascal made a huge impact in FC IfeanyiUbah's title push last season even though they could only secure fourth place.
Handler of the side, Keneichi Yatsuhashi will look to him to deliver the goods for his side in the competition.
