Super Eagles defender, Shehu Abdullahi, is reeling with excitement following Bursaspor ‘ s 4-2 comeback win against their hosts Akhisarspor in a Turkish Super Lig clash on Sunday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Ghanaian midfielder, Elvis Manu gave the hosts the lead in the eighth minute with Onur Ayik doubling the advantage six minutes before the break.
Umur Nayir reduced the deficit for Bursaspor in first half added time before equalising after the break with the duo of Lasmin Latovlevici and Ramazan Keskin getting the other goals for the visitors.
It was Bursaspor’s first win in three league outings. The Greens last tasted victory in a home clash against Alanyaspor on October 26.
“Amazing comeback, we bounced back to winning ways. From two goals down at Akhisarspor and we won 4-2. Big character…,” Abdullahi tweeted.
Samet Aybaba ‘s men will face BB Erzurumspor in their next Super Lig clash next week Monday at Bursa Büyükşehir Belediye, Stadium, Bursa.
Abdullahi has been limited to one single appearance for Bursaspor this season due to injury.
His only appearance came in the 1-0 home win against Ankaragucu on October 6, 2018.
He has been sidelined since picking up an injury in Nigeria’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against Libya in October.
