By Adeboye Amosu: Former home-based Super Eagles forward Tunde Adeniji is delighted to score his first goal for Kazakhstan Premier League club FC Atyrau in Tuesday’s 3-0 friendly win against FC Orenburg of Russia, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Adeniji scored Atyrau’s third goal in the pre-season match, his first game for the club since the switch from Bulgarian club Levski Sofia.
“It’s good to be on the pitch again and I’m delighted to find the back of the net in my first game for the club,” the former Sunshine Stars striker told CSN.
“Everyone is working hard in training and we hope to do well in subsequent pre-season games and hopefully I will get to score more goals.
“It’s a fresh challenge for me, a new country and new league. The weather, culture and language are totally different but I have settled down well.
“I can’t wait for the start of the new season. My main objective is help my club do well and score goals.”
