Adepoju: Beware Of Bafana Bafana

–Former Nigeria international says South Africa fight for pride

Ex-international, Mutiu Adepoju has warned the Super Eagles to show maximum concentration when they host the Bafana Bafana of South Africa on Wednesday at the Akwa Ibom Stadium, saying the visitors will be ready to play for pride in the 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifier.

Adepoju who was part of the Super Eagles to the 2002 FIFA world Cup in Korea/Japan said the Wednesday match is even more important than the last game played on Saturday which gave Nigeria the maximum points after a 2-0 win.

“These boys have proved that they can do something good when you think that hope is lost with the way they played Congo on Saturday but the job has not ended there, they still need to do a lot more when they host South Africa on Wednesday”, begins the KFA Administrator.

“South Africa has invested so much in football and the result is gradually manifesting with the way they played all their qualifiers. So, having gone that far, they will know that they pride is at stake even if they don’t need the points and that is why the Super Eagles players need to come out and give their best in the match.

“I know that we have players who are well experienced in the game but they should not underrate the South Africans in the match.

Nigeria held the Bafana Bafana to a goalless draw in the first match played in Cape Town and will be expected to win the home match to finally book their ticket to the 2015 African Cup of Nations holding in Equatorial Guinea.
