AFCON 2017: Ayew Brothers Score As Ghana Edge DR Congo, Reach Semis

Andre Ayew scored the match winner for Ghana who booked a place in the semi-finals of the on going African Cup of Nations in Gabon with a 2-1 win over DR Congo reports,  Completesportsnigeria.com

Ayew struck in the 77th minute of the second half from the spot after  Lomalisa Mutambala fouled Christian Atsu in the box to restore the lead for the Black Stars. His brother Jordan Ayew had shot the Black Stars into the lead in the 63rd minute.

DR Congo's Paul-José M'Poku cancelled out Jordan Ayew's opening goal in 68th minute with a brilliant strike from the edge of the penalty area.

Ghana were the dominant side through the game but were unlucky not to have taken the lead through the chances they created.

At the restart,Ghana stepped up the pressure and this time André Ayew fired a left footed shot which was saved by the goalkeeper in the 49th minute.

Before he scored the opener on 63 minute.

Jordan Ayew struck a right footed shot from the centre of the box into the top right corner off a pass from Mubarak Wakaso.

Congo brought Cédric Bakambu
in the 83rd minute as they searched for an equaliser but his effort from outside the box was saved in the bottom right corner by the goalkeeper. Assisted by Dieumerci Mbokani with a headed pass.
