Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi has named 26 players from the domestic league who will kick off the team’s camping programme ahead of next month’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Chad.
Long-standing home-based squad goalkeeper Chogozie Agbim, whose place in the squad has been a subject of controvery, has been dropped.
The trio of Chibuzor Okonkwo, Kunle Odunlami and Rabiu Ali make a return to the squad after long absences.
Also making a return to the squad is Solomon Kwambe who has been out of the squad for over a year while Ibrahim Shaibu, Onoriode Odah and Igbinosa are also in the squad.
Other players making it to the camp for the first time include Enyimba FC captain Chinedu Udoji, Giwa FC’s Henlong Charles, Joe Omale of Dekina Dragons and FC Taraba’s Samuel Olabisi.
All the invited players are expected to report at the Bolton Hotel Apartments, Wuse, Abuja on Tuesday, 19th May, 2015
