Former Arsenal youngster, Benik Afobe, who recently signed for Bournemouth, has identified Odion Ighalo and Jamie Vardy as his role models.
Ighalo has scored 14 Premier League goals for Watford, while Vardy currently tops the scorers chart after finding the back of the net 16 times.
In an interview with the Telegraph, Afobe stated that he hopes to emulate the feat the two strikers have achieved.
“I’ve been out on loan a few times, so I feel I’ve earned the right to be here. I want to make my mark at this club, but there’s a long, long way to go before you can bracket me with the top centre-forwards," the former Arsenal striker said.
“I’m just trying to gradually build myself up and there’s a lot of hard work to be done yet. I look at the likes of Ighalo and Vardy. They’ve scored goals in the Championship like me and made their mark at the highest level.
“They’ve stepped up and are good role models for me. I’m young, I’m English and I believe I have all the tools to be a top player.”
