After 5-0 Massacre By Russia, Three Saudi Arabia Players To Get Punishment

Saudi Arabia Football Federation president Adel Ezzat has revealed that three players will be punished following their disastrous opening day defeat against hosts Russia in the opening match of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Saudi Arabia were hammered 5-0 by Russia which took their winless run at the World Cup to 11.

And according to Al-Youm Assabaa newspaper monitored by Daily Mail, Ezzat says the performance in Moscow fell well below expectation.

“We are very disappointed by the defeat. This result is totally unsatisfactory, because it does not reflect the true level of our preparedness.
“Several players will face a penalty – goalkeeper Abdullah Al-Mayouf, striker Mohammad Al-Sahlawi and defender Omar Hawsawi.”

There was also criticism from another government figure Turki bin Abdulmohsen Al-Sheikh, chairman of the General Sport Authority, who described the game as a ‘total fiasco’ in a video posted on his Twitter page.

He said: “These players have made my face go black with embarrassment and fury.

“This is down to their weak potential and ability. We did everything for this team and this generation of players, everything.

“We brought them the best technical support, a team of the highest level and we paid them for three years.

“But now we see they have limited capabilities.

“They have achieved just five per cent of what is expected and required of them.”

Saudi Arabia’s next game comes up against Uruguay on Wednesday befor ethey will face Egypt in the last group game.

I heard or read somewhere that KSA has changed their coach 3 time in the last 3 months before the WC. This definitely will have some effects on in he players and their style of play. Punish the FA before punishing the players. What did they do?

  • This is laughable. I cannot fathom the master-slave approach of many of these Arabian countries to life. Hey many lashes are they going to receive? Were they not fasting during the match?

  • Perhaps fasting can be one of the factors responsible for the defeat of Saudi Arabia. All the same the team’s performance is just too poor. Hoping the Super eagles are taking note of this

I heard the Senegalese team, including Mane skipped fasting for WC. Smart guys. I also read that a Saudi Arabian Imam said Mo Salah injury by Ramos was punishment for skipping Ramadan or fasting for that vs Real Madrid match. Could you believe such a ridiculous thoughts!!! I just could not see any reason why 3 specific players-a goalkeeper, a defender, an attacker are penciled for punishment. Maybe it should be 4 because there is no one representing the midfield department. Remember that FIFA does not tolerate mixing politics with football. Saudi Arabia could be sanctioned if these players are punished.

The penciled players should not go back home else they may face capital punishment

Super Eagles should be given enema for their punishment. They were cows, grazing, farting and depleting whatever is left of the Ozone layers. So flat footed, makes me wonder what happened to once known fleet footed Super Eagles.
