–To qualify for 2015 AFCON
Former Super Eagles striker Victor Agali believes that Nigeria can still qualify for the 2015 African Cup of Nations but warned that the players must show enough attitude and commitment to achieve positive results against South Africa and Congo in the remaining two games in the campaign.
The former Germany based forward said removing Coach Stephen Keshi as Head Coach of the Super Eagles may not be the final solution Nigeria need to qualify but the determination of the players who are the key actors in the business.
“Well, I think we are now at the stage where the truth must be said. The players are the key actors in this business and if Nigeria must qualify, they must play a huge role and I think they must realize that they need to show enough commitment and attitude to win the remaining matches”, says the ex-international.
The situation we find ourselves now is not too bad but we need to work really hard mostly, we must win the remaining matches while we pray for luck as well. For me, sacking Keshi may not be the final solution but what the players can offer.
It would be recalled that the Super Eagles defeated Sudan 3-1 in Abuja last week to restore hopes that Nigeria can still make it to Morocco next year.
