Former Super Eagles forward, Victor Agali, has charged the team to go all out for a win against Seychelles in Saturday’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture in Victoria, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Gernot Rohr’s men lost 2-0 to South Africa in their first game in the qualifiers last June at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
The Super Eagles need to beat their hosts who lost 5-1 to Libya in their last qualifying tie to stay in contention for a place in Cameroon 2019.
And having also failed to qualify for the last two editions of the AFCON, Agali has tasked the players to get their campaign back on track by claiming the maximum points against Seychelles.
“The game against Seychelles is a must win game for the Super Eagles especially if you take into cognisance the fact that they lost to South Africa last year,” Agali told CSN.
“Anything short of a win against Seychelles may spell doom for the team and we don’t pray for that.
“I believe it is a game that the Super Eagles can win based on the quality of players in the team, but at the same time they must not underrate their opponent.
“We must work hard to be at the next AFCON and winning this game will put us on the right track.”
