–Confident of landing Antelopes deal
Home based Super Eagles captain, Chigozie Agbim has resumed training with the Coal City Flying Antelopes amidst continuing transfer talks with the club.
Agbim featured for now relegated Gombe United last season after a heated transfer feud between Warri Wolves and Rangers.
“I made it clear I wasn’t going to play in the lower league with Gombe so I had to move”, offers Agbim.
“At the moment, I’m training with Rangers hoping to reach a deal with them. Of course, we’re still talking and I’m optimistic it will be fruitful.”
Agbim’s career had previously taken him to Enyimba, Rangers and Warri Wolves before a short-lived spell at Gombe United.
Proded on his preference for Rangers instead of Enyimba as his next career destination, the Abia State born shot-stopper revealed he has Rangers blood in him.
“Once a soldier, always a soldier”, Agbim said. “Rangers is a club of my heart, they are my club and I would always love playing for them at any given opportunity”, he added.
Complete Sports understands Agbim and Rangers are discussing a loan deal so it will be easier for him to leave any time he gets a deal in Europe.
