–Eagles goalkeeper trainer says he has confidence in team’s goalies
Super Eagles goalkeepers’ trainer, Alloy Agu says he will not invite new goalkeeper to the senior national team as he passed a vote of confidence on the trio of Vincent Enyeama, Austin Ejide and Chigozie Agbim ahead of the two remaining 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Africa and Congo.
Agu was drafted to the Super Eagles on interim capacity after former goalkeeper Ike Shorunmu and other technical crew was relieved of their jobs by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF last week.
The former national U-20 goalkeeper trainer said he will continue with the trio following their performance and experience so far in the national team while assuring that he will have a good working relationship with them.
”The Goalkeepers of Super Eagles have been there for a while and they’ve been doing the country very proud and i hope it’ll continue that way,” Agu said.
Meanwhile, Complete Sports can report that the Nigeria Football Federation’s technical department has given Coach Shaibu Amodu a list of 60 players he is expected to work with in the two remaining matches of the 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Nigeria already maintain 4points behind South Africa and Congo on the Group A table and will need to beat the two top countries to boost their chances of featuring at the Championship billed for Morocco next year.
