Yusuf, who has won several awards in the course of his impressive career, was named Photo Journalist of the Year, beating off competition from other accomplished photo journalists like Segun Ogunfeyitimi, Bola Omilabu and John Ebhota.
Completesportsnigeria’s Johnny Edward and iSoccerng’s Kayode Ogundare were both nominated in the Journalist of the Year, Print category, which was won by Tana Aiyejina of Punch.
CSKA Moscow star Musa was named Footballer of the Year ahead of Watford striker Odion Ighalo and Sunshine Stars’ Tunde Adeniji.
Ngozi Okobi beat her Super Falcons colleagues Asisat Oshoala and Desire Oparanozie to the Women Footballer of the Year award.
Oguchi, who was named the Most Valuable Player at the 2015 Afrobasket Championship as Nigeria claimed their first ever African men’s title, won the Ball Sports Person of the Year prize, beating D’Tigers captain Olumide Oyedeji and table tennis star Aruna Quadri.
Tosin Oke was named the Track and Field Star of of the Year, while Balqis Otunla won the Weightlifter of the Year award.
