When would all this old school arrangement of playing Cup games away from the home ground of clubs stop. How will these so called professional clubs generate revenue. Why can’t the FA cup be played as it is done in other climes where teams either play home and away or play a one off game (with a replay if needed) at the home ground of one of the teams. The final match can then be at a neutral, national stadium.

This certainly isn’t archaic as u claimed. The last couples of years have actually witness Federation cup in the format where one of the two teams will be at home and there have been barriage of complaints of unnecessary inducement and favourtism by the teams playing at home. That’s why this years competitionis taking this format. This is the fprmat apoted many years ago that brough so much glamour to the former challenge cup. However, the number of states in Nigeria and the idea of 2 teams representing each state making it clumsy. Why not revert to one representative from each state. is it not ridiculous when a team that couldn’t ein her states finals now emerge as the National Federation cup winners hence representing the country in the continent next CAF federation cup….Lets have a reform also in the organization and arrangement of our National Challenge/Aiteo Federation Cup.
