Super Eagles midfielder Hope Akpan has expressed delight following his recovery from a shoulder injury which sidelined him for some weeks.
Akpan who plays for Championship side Reading, injured his shoulder while on international duty with Nigeria against Congo in Pointe Noire which the Eagles won 2-0.
“Three weeks post operation, good to be bac. Out on the grass even if it was only jogging,” Akpan wrote on his twitter page.
On Monday, Reading sacked Nigel Adkins following the team’s 6-1 loss to Birmingham City at the weekend.
Their next game is at home against Watford FC who are sixth on the league table with Reading occupying the 16th spot.
