Former Super Eagles player, Jonathan Akpoborie has reacted to the poor run of the senior national team in the just concluded 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifiers, saying the team failed to qualify for next year’s edition because of coaching problem.
The Super Eagles played a 2-2 draw with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the last Group game on Wednesday to crash out of the race to Equatorial Guinea while Congo beat Sudan 1-0 away to book a flight to the party.
Speaking after the match, Akpoborie queried why Stephen Keshi should allow Emmanuel Emenike to remain in the match for a long time.
“The problem we have is coaching problem because right from day one, this team has not shown any class. Why should Keshi allowed Emenike to stay on for a long time when he had no business there?,” he queried.
“We have not played well in the last few games and nothing was done about it , now the result has come and it is painful”, he concludes
