Former Nigeria international, Jonathan Akpoborie, has warned fans not to get carried away following the Super Eagles' 2-1 World Cup qualifying win against Zambia in Ndola on Sunday.
A goal each from Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho gave the Eagles a 2-0 lead in the first half before Collins Mbesuma got a goal back for Zambia.
The win places the Eagles top of Group B on three points ahead of Algeria and Cameroon who played 1-1 also on Sunday.
In his reaction, Akpoborie however expressed delight that the Eagles were able to secure an away win against a formidable opponent.
"Super Eagles? Promising and mouth watering expectations. Still work in progress though.
"Been a while Nigeria won an away game with such authority and against a former African champion for that matter," he wrote on his Twitter handle.
