Arsenal prodigy Chuba Akpom took to Twitter on Monday, 8 September 2014, to boast of his unbelievable pace, having broken Theo Walcott’s ten metre sprint record.
The 18-year-old ran the short distance in a jaw-dropping 1.56 seconds Monday, and proudly alerted his followers of the feat.
Akpom made his Arsenal debut last season, and spent short loan spells at Bradford and then Coventry City, although he failed to score a goal with either.
The Anglo-Nigerian is extremely highly rated, and has scored goals for various England youth sides though has not received national team invitation from Nigeria or even been considered for selection before -a different situation for his former Nigerian-born teammate Chuks Aneke who was close to being invited to the Super Eagles by former head coach, Samson Siasia, who exclusively intimated Completesportsnigeria.com of that plan before he lost the Super Eagles job.
Siasia was sacked by the Nigeria Football Federation for not qualifying the country for the 2012 Africa Nations Cup hosted by Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.
