Former Akwa United forward Ibrahim Alhassan scored for Austria Wien who lost 3-2 to Romanian top-tier club Dinamo Bucuresti in a friendly game on Monday.
The friendly was part of Austria Wien’s preparations towards th restart of the Austrian Bundesliga (top division) on February 3.
Alhassan scored in the 50th minute to put Austria Wien 2-1 ahead. Abdul Kadiri had made it 1-1 for Austria Wien on 48 minutes.
Goal scorers for Dinamo Bucuresti were Ionut Nedelcearu (29th minute) and Adam Nemec (54th, 60th minutes).
Austria Wien will face Cypriot club Anorthosis in another friendly game on Tuesday.
Their first game in the second half of the season will be away to Rapid Wien on February 4.
They are currently sixth on 26 points in the 10-team Austrian elite division league table.
Alhassan has scored one goal in 13 appearances for Austria in the current campaign.
