All-rounder Zak Chappell is hoping to kick on at Nottinghamshire after agreeing a switch from Leicestershire. The Grantham-born right hander has enjoyed a strong 2018 campaign with Leicestershire and his exploits have earned a move to Trent Bridge.
Chappell has claimed 16 wickets in the County Championship this term and averages over 30 with the bat in First Class cricket.
Nottinghamshire have been busy bolstering their squad ahead of the 2019 campaign and Chappell is their third new signing.
The 22-year-old, who has put pen to paper on a three-year contract, is excited to get started and feels Nottinghamshire can match his ambitions.
Chappell told the club’s official website: “This is a dream move for me and I’m excited to get started at such a prestigious club.
“Nottinghamshire have a top-quality squad and I think it will be the perfect place for me to take my game to the next level.
“Being able to call Trent Bridge my home and to play alongside the likes of Stuart Broad, Alex Hales and Jake Ball will be a dream come true.”
