Super Eagles midfielder Ramon Azeez says he’s happy to be evolving with the rebuilding of the senior national team. The 21 year old Almeria midfielder who was a surprise inclusion in the Eagles squad to Brazil told Complete Sports he hope to prove himself if given a chance in Saturday’s Nations Cup qualifier against Congo in Calabar.
“It’s my honour to be here again with the Super Eagles after the World Cup and it’s the first time I’d play for the Eagles here. The Super Eagles is a team that is constantly evolving who always want to win and it’s a big project, so I am very proud to be here,” Azeez who will face his club teammate Thievy Bifouma on Saturday told Complete Sports.
“On a personal level I hope to play and prove myself. With the help of my teammates I hope to show my talent as I have done in the past and do things right to help the team.
“I’m very proud to wear this shirt and I will give 100%, the maximum, so that with my teammates I can achieve something great.
“This is a great team, they have demonstrated that, and I hope my arrival can contribute something to the team.”
