Spanish side Almeria have offered Nigeria World Cup star Ramon Azeez a new four year deal to wade off interest from EPL teams but a source close to his representatives have told Complete Sports that they are studying the offer.
“They have showed interest in Ramon staying at the club but we must consider other details of the deal,” the source who preferred not to be named told Complete Sports.
The 21 year old highly rated midfielder has been linked with a move to Swansea City in the EPL but Almeria have revealed that they are not in a hurry to sell.
“There was a bid from Swansea for Ramon but he is ineligible to play in England at the moment.
“We just have to wait and see how things play out but at the moment, Almeria are not willing to let go one of their prized assets,”the source quoted Azeez’s representative as saying.
Almeria barely escaped relegation from La Liga last season with Azeez, drafted in from the reserves, popping up with some crucial goals and assists in the process.
He played a total of 32 matches and scored two goals.
