English Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month for October, Sone Aluko, has revealed that the best ever goals he has scored in his career were the brace he got for the Super Eagles in a 2-2 draw with South Africa in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Uyo, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Aluko made this known during a question and answer session with Fulham FC fans tagged 'Twitter takeover with Sone Aluko'.
Needing an outright win against South Africa to qualify for the 2015 AFCON in Equatorial Guinea, the Eagles could only play a 2-2 draw, hence crashing out of the tournament.
South Africa took ab2-0 lead after scoring in either half before Aluko got two late goals to salvage some pride for the Super Eagles.
When asked by a certain Michael Ward, @michaelward 28, about his best career goal so far, Aluko replied: "Two Nigeria goals against South Africa!"
And when asked by another fan, Tomgarland, @tomg_FFC: who his best strike partner was, the former Flying Eagles star responded: "Best strike partner, Daniel Sturridge in England youth teams. Assist numbers were through the roof."
