Aluko Faces Bleak Future As Fulham Remain Non-committal To Contract Extension, Transfer Deal

Nigeria forward Sone Aluko faces an unsettled future at Fulham as the club refuses to offer him a new long-term deal nor sell him to interested club, according to Daily Mail‎.
The 28-year-old signed a two-year deal with Fulham last summer and has gone on to impress.
Aluko’s impressive showing hhas attracted the interest of Championship play-off finalists Reading, with Fulham  confirming ‘multiple bids’ for the forward had been rejected.
Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic had come out to state that it would be a ‘big mistake’ to sell Aluko whom he handed the captain’s armband in their 0-0 draw at Leeds on Tuesday night.
However, speculation over his future continues and it is understood that the former Flying Eagles star at the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup wants to either be offered a new deal or accept one of the offers being made for him.
The former Hull City and Glasgow Rangers forward’s contract expires this summer and it is believed the club’s policy of not giving long-term contracts to players over the age of 28 has prevented a deal being struck yet.
It is understood Fulham have the option to extend Aluko’s dealo, but it would come without improved terms and the player is believed to want more security.
Since joining Fulham from Hull City, Aluko has scored nine goals in 53 appearances in all competitions for the Cottagers, who drew 0-0 at Leeds on Tuesday evening.
