Two goal hero in Nigeria’s 2-2 dramatic comeback against South Africa in the 2015 AFCON qualifier at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium in Uyo penultimate Wednesday, Sone Aluko is set to return to action for his English Premier League side, Hull City this weekend.
Aluko was not listed in Hull’s 1-2 loss at home to Tottenham Hotspurs last weekend but the pacy forward is set to return to action today as Hull travel to confront a resurgent Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Hull is currently going through a bad spell in the EPL having failed to record a win in their last five matches a scenario that has landed them in the 17th place on the league table – just a step above the drop zone. And going against a United side still basking on the euphoria of their 2-1 away win against rivals Arsenal last weekend, Aluko and his Hull teammates are indeed in for a difficult game they will need nothing short of a miracle to survive.
With Hull yet to beat United since 1974, expect the Tigers to battle hard against the Devils and coach coach Steve Bruce would be delighted if Aluko can replicate his international form to help his side avoid an outright defeat and at least earn a point.
