By James Agberebi:
Nigerian forwards, Sone Aluko and Victor Osimhen will confront each other when Fulham host VFL Wolfsburg at the Craven Cottage in a pre-season friendly game on Saturday, 29th July.
This was announced on Fulham's official website on Wednesday.
A statement on Fulham's website reads: "Fulham host VfL Wolfsburg in what will be our final friendly fixture ahead of the 2017/18 Sky Bet Championship season.
"We welcome the German outfit to Craven Cottage on Saturday 29th July (3pm), ahead of our league commencement at home to Norwich City a week later.
Fulham’s previous encounter with Wolfsburg came at the Quarter-Final stage of the 2009/10 UEFA Europa League, as the Whites came away with a famous 3-1 aggregate win over the then German champions.
"Osimhen made just two appearances for Wolfsburg last season as they beat Eintracht Braunschweig 2-0 on aggregate in the play-offs to maintain their Bundesliga status.
Aluko's Fulham was however not so lucky as they lost 2-1 on aggregate to Reading in the promotion play-offs.
Aluko made 49 appearances for Fulham last term, scoring eight goals.
