Aluko Rescues Hull City

–Scores first EPL goal of season

Nigerian midfielder Sone Aluko salvaged a point for Hull City when he came off the substitutes’ bench to score his first EPL goal of the season for the Tigers in their 1-1 draw against Everton at Goodison Park.

Aluko 25, replaced Mohammed Diame in the 53rd minute and restored parity for his side six minutes later in what was his seventh substitute appearance this term.

At Stamford Bridge, John Mikel Obi made his seventh EPL appearance as a substitute for Chelsea when he replaced Cesc Fabregas in the 73rd minute in last night’s 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspurs.

In Scotland, Efe Ambrose was on from start to finish for Celtic in the 1-0 win at home to Partick Thistle. It was Ambrose’s ninth start of the season for the Hoops.
