Amaju: Keshi Must Accept NFF’s Terms

The President of the Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Pinnick has stated that out-of-contract Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi, will only continue in his position as coach of the team unless he agrees to the terms of the federation.

Amaju, who was on Channels’TV sports programme Sports Tonight on Tuesday, insisted that Keshi must work in tandem with the technical study group to revamp the squad after their inability to defend their 2013 AFCON title in South Africa.

“I don’t think we have any issues keeping Keshi,” Amaju said. “But he must agree to our terms.

“Keshi will be an integral part of the scheme if he agrees on the deal. And he will have to work with the technical study group headed by Jay Jay Okocha to scrutinize the players’ welfare, players attitude and fitness level. We are talking football science here.

“We also have to consider what we can accommodate and we have to consider if he can work with our technical study group, there are so many factors. A contract is not signed overnight because we don’t just want to sign any contract with him.”

Amanju Pinnick, enough of this foot-dragging. Will it take a century to choose a coach for the national team?

YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL WITH KESHI AS HE IS VERY CRAFTY SO DON`T PLAY TO HIS ANTICS.IF HE DOES NOT WANT TO ACCEPT THE TERMS, THEN GO AHEAD AND HAVE A NEW COACH, KESHI AND THE MINISTER CANNOT HOLD OVER 200MILLION NIGERIANS TO RANSOM. TOO MUCH FAVORISM IN KESHI SELECTION WHICH I BELIEVE THE WHOLE WORLD CAN SEE.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERY FOOTBALL LOVING NIGERIA INFACT ALL NIGERIAN. MAY THIS YEAR BE A YEAR OF POSITIVE TURN AROUND IN THE HISTORY OF NIGERIA AND FOOTBALL AS A WHOLE.

I know football and politics dont mix but keshi has to go just like jonathan and his stupid sports minister.

  • Yes, I agree with James…they should all go and leave people with better idea to take their place and change the country for good. They have done the best just in ruining everything for this country and they deserve award for that. Jonathan and co….

Take it or leave it,this man Amaju Pinnick is going to go down in history as the worst NNF President.Stephen Keshi is not needed in that team but they are doing everything possible to force him on Nigerians.Lets see how it goes.

  • We don’t need Keshi. Keshi needs to go and whatever contract we are drafting should be for the next coach. And we are making Keshi look like he is untouchable. Someone failed us and there is no reason to have him around and after all, what is good for the goose is also good for the gander. Siasia’s record was better than that of Keshi and yet we let him go, so why are we giving a stupid. selfish and brainless coach a second chance after failing us this bad?

The current make-up of the super eagles is highly unacceptable, with 85% of the players originating from south east, the national team has been reduced to a regional team.
