Nigeria’s Al Farooq Aminu recorded his sixth double double of the NBA season for the Portland Trail Blazers in Sunday’s 100-105 loss to the Boston Celtics at the Moda Centre, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The defeat was the 28th of the season for the Blazers this season in 72 games and also their second in a row after their 12 game winning streak was ended by the LA Clippers.
The D’Tigers’ star, who was playing his 59th game of the season for the Blazers scored 16 points, one assist and recorded 10 rebounds in 32 minutes.
Aminu, 27, had earlier recorded double figures against Victor Oladipo’s Indiana Pacers, Miami Heats, New Orleans Pelicans, Minnesota Timberwolves and the Detroit Pistons.
The 2015 FIBA Afrobasket Championship winner has also averaged 9.6 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists so far this season.
The Blazers are currently third in the Western conference and will face the Oklahoma City Thunders in their next game in Monday.
