Amodu Eyes Tunisia, Egypt, Ghana

–For a friendly match
By Richard Jideaka, Abuja:

Three top African soccer playing nations are on the queue for invitation to play the Super Eagles in the opening ceremony of the ultra modern Akwa Ibom stadium Uyo on November 6.

Interim coach of the Super Eagles, Amodu Shuaibu who dropped this hint disclosed that the federation is discussing with the Akwa Ibom state government on the possibility of having top football nations like Tunisia, Ghana and Egypt for a friendly match that day.

According to the interim Super Eagles coach, playing any of these countries will serve as a good preparation for the Eagles for the game against Congo and South Africa as well as for the opening of the stadium.

“I will be happy to get any of these countries to test some of the players from the domestic league and pick the ones who would join the foreign based players for camping for the two crucial AFCON games.

“We don’t have much time to prepare so we must get our best players both home and abroad to prosecute the two AFCON matches next month,” he stated.
