Amrouche Apologizes To Eagles For “Juju” Comment

Libya’s coach, Adel Amrouche has apologised to Nigerians for the “juju” comments he made about Super Eagles ahead of their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations clash in October reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Amrouche stated in his post match interview after his side’s goalless draw away to South Africa in Durban that the Nigerian team bank on “juju” and will prefer to play against them.

He also added that Nigeria can go ahead to host both ties as the Mediterranean Knights have been playing their ‘home’ World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in Mali, Egypt and Tunisia over the last five years due to the unrest in the country.

“I apologise to the Nigeria football community for using the words JUJU in the press conference in SA.I used the word in jest,” Amrouche tweeted via his official handle on Sunday.

“I respect Nigerians and their RICH football tradition.I’m a man who likes joking, but I realise I used the word out of context. Please accept my apologies.”

He also told the BBC: “I want to play our next match in a good atmosphere, so it’s important that I make things right, so the fans don’t have any bad feelings,”

Let him say whatever he wants to say, we will do our own talking on the field of play. Its an empty barrel that makes the loudest noise.

He can’t take it back! The wise measure what says, so he is like a goat

  • This is a proverb story. Names in this story are fictional. Solo said some untruth about Diamond. Before you could say jack, it has spread. Solo later realised his mistakes and went to apologize. Diamond refused to accept Solo’s apology. After much intervention from friends, Diamond said he will accept his apology only if Solo will take a pillow of feathers to the market square by the riverside and open the pillow case allowing the feathers out of the pillow case and then come to see him the next day. Solo gladly did so and the next day went to see Diamond. Diamond said it remains one step. He should go to the market square and pick all the feathers back into the pillow case. Solo was open mouthed for it is just impossible to pick the feathers back into the pillow case. LESSON: wrong words spoken as lie or gossip can not be remedied as it has travelled far and wide just like the feathers have flown far and wide and can’t be retrieved. Mr Libya coach, apologies noted but how can you tell every Tom Dick & Harry that Nigeria play football by strength, skill, talent and sometimes fortune and never never with Demons(juju). Not all who read your statement yesterday will read your apology today. So just prepare your mind and take anything you see when you visit Nigeria. Nigerians are nice people and are forgiving. But yet there are some that will not forgive you. As for me I have forgiven you. I will also help you beg Nigerians to forgive you, that you said those bad words out of excitement for leading a group that comprises of the giant Nigeria and South Africa. So just pray and hope.

An Algerian coaching the Libyan national soccer team calling a fellow black African nation feltish !!!

That’s how shallow and evil-minded his mentality is !!!
A clear sign of illiteracy and self-centred mindset !

I weep for a continent called mother “AFRICA”!!!

The Libyan coach has just informed the football world that he is Fetish. CAF and FIFA has taken note and when he comes to Nigeria the prayers of all good Nigerians will rise to protect our boys, physically and spiritually.

This man is a lunatic and a big fool. The best way to respond to his ‘Juju’ comment is by beating his team home&Away. I trust my super eagles, they don’t joke with matches like that. They will do to them what they did to Cameroon last year and even do more than that. Am sure All our star players will surely be available for the match. With the return of Ebuehi,Ekong,Captain Mikel, Iwobi, Moses Simon(Chai see squad players mehn)–Mr Juju and his team are gone

  • no be ur fault cha. but let me tel u somethin wetin u take dey joke for side, we dey take am dey serious dey kil pple join. u have made ur own joke, but our boys wil not take it as a joke, they wil play ur team as if it is a worldwar nd beat u like 5 goals to nil.
