Emmanuel Amuneke has expressed happiness that there are no injury concerns in his Golden Eaglets team ahead of the FIFA U-17 World Cup semi-final clash against Mexico on Thursday night, Friday morning.
The Golden Eaglets head coach told Completesportsnigeria.com on Wednesday from Chile that his charges are gearing up for the big showdown with the Mexacans.
"I've always believed that our journey in this championship lies in the hand of God Almighty," offers Amuneke from the team's base in Chile.
"It's God that has taken us this far and we believe He can still do more for us especially with Nigerians standing behind us with prayers.
"It's our determination to bring something worth celebrating for Nigerians at the end of the championship and the players are committed to doing just that".
Amuneke who spoke to Completesportsnigeria.com at exactly 1.15pm on Wednesday (9.15am in Chile) said they are focused ahead the semi finl confrontation with Mexico.
"We're at a very crucial stage of the competition which calls for focus.
"Mexico is a strong side, we already know that a tough game lies ahead of us.
"The good thing is that all the players are looking forward to the game.
"Most importantly, we don't have any injury concerns in the team, all the players are available for the match.
"There could be minor knocks and shocks which are part of the game but the good thing is that none is enough to rule any of the players out of the game against Mexico", Amuneke told Completesportsnigeria.com.
